Lake Placid Lodge

Built to resemble the Adirondack Great Camps of yesteryear, Lake Placid Lodge offers up the only hotel situated directly on the shores of Lake Placid. Poised between the forest and village, the lodge celebrates its sense of place throughout the 13 rooms and 17 luxury cabins at water’s edge. The guest rooms—no two alike—each feature a stone fireplace, hand-carved beds, and wilderness views through its diamond-paned windows.

Meetings take on an intimate feel of the highest quality, thanks to up-to-the-minute technology, inviting decor, and sumptuous cuisine—as expected from a member of Relais & Chateaux. Although it’s tempting to never leave the lodge, recreational opportunities abound. In winter, ice-skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and downhill skiing draws its share of enthusiasts. In summer, guests opt for boating, fishing, biking, and hiking on miles of trails.
