Famous as the host of the 1932 Winter Olympic Games and then again for the 1980 Winter Games, Lake Placid, New York, today has repositioned itself as a popular all-season resort. Centrally located in the Olympic Village, adjacent to the Olympic Center, Crowne Plaza Lake Placid-Golf Club has been at the center of the latest stages of this transformation.
The resort’s 248 comfortable, stylish guest rooms include a number of upgraded rooms featuring sweeping views of Mirror Lake, Whiteface Mountain and High Peaks. For golfers in the group, there are 45 holes of championship play at the Lake Placid Club. For non-golfers, there’s the Beach Club. Everyone enjoys the indoor pool, fitness center, MacKenzie’s Restaurant for three daily meals and the Great Room Bar for informal drinks and mingling.
With a total of 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a variety of needs can be accommodated easily. The hotel’s largest event space can handle 1,200 for a reception, 700 for a banquet.
