Could you tell us about Jenny Fisher Fitness and your role? I’m the founder and sole coach. My signature is high-intensity, 15-minute workouts designed for busy women. Besides training virtually, I curate in-person retreats so clients can finally meet, sweat together, and unwind—without the daily hustle. What originally inspired you to host a retreat? My online clients kept asking for face-to-face coaching. I wanted to give them an inclusive space where they could train hard and genuinely retreat from normal life. After three DIY events that drained me, I needed a partner to handle the heavy lifting so I could focus on coaching and bonding. Why South Florida, and why this particular hotel? Most guests could reach South Florida easily, and the climate guaranteed outdoor sessions. Retreat shortlisted several properties; the winner was a 60-year-old, family-owned resort with oversized rooms, tennis & pickleball courts, a ballroom, and—crucially—an adults-only pool. The owner even greeted us on arrival, which set a wonderful tone. What was the primary objective this time? Balance. I wanted the toughest workouts yet, but also generous downtime for poolside connection. The goal was to embody my brand mantra—work hard, play hard—and let everyone, including me, leave refreshed. How did the retreat align with your brand message? Guests said it was our “most relaxing and most fitness-packed” retreat. Sunrise HIIT on the tennis court, sunset mobility in the ballroom, then hours to lounge with a drink at the adults-only pool—exactly the moderation philosophy I teach. Where did Retreat add the most value in planning? - Venue sourcing & rate negotiation - Budget & payment collection—they tracked every deposit and roommate match - On-site planner stayed with us all four days to run the schedule and solve surprises - Agenda platform—one hub for itineraries, RSVPs, and updates Had this been my first retreat, I couldn’t have pulled it off without them. What moment stands out as a highlight? Honestly, the afternoon stretch when intense workouts were over and the ladies just floated between the adults-only pool and casual chats. That unstructured bonding time was priceless. Did the event achieve its goal? Absolutely. Post-retreat, the community group lit up with organized collaboration and renewed energy. I felt 80 percent less planner fatigue compared with my DIY years—and I got to enjoy my own event. Would you recommend Retreat to other coaches? Yes. If I host another retreat, I’m calling Retreat again. For first-timers especially, handing logistics to experts turns a full-time job into a joy. Any feedback for improving our service? A step-by-step “platform quick-start” guide would help planners like me switch from spreadsheets sooner. A more detailed intake form—covering AV fees, room sets, catering, etc.—could also head off last-minute surprises.
